The ability to understand another human being is a skill. It is also the basis for effective managing and coaching. Understanding and experiencing another personʼs feelings or ideas is called empathy and is primarily achieved through active listening. This session reviews and implements:

Three levels of listening — Listening to, listening for, and listening with empathy. As a skill, better listening can be developed through practice of listening at these three levels.
